FTP File Transfer

Midwest Sports can provide your studio with a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) that is secure and password protected.  The FTP Program is convenient when you need to send images to Midwest Sports such as your Order Entry Software files, replacement images or proof printing requests.  It is not a remote order entry software program but strictly file transfer protocol that is fast and convenient and is installed on any computer with a Windows Operating System.

To download the MWS FTP Program, use the links to the right and follow these instructions.  You will be accepting all the default download options.

1. Click on the MWS FTP Program hyperlink to the right.
2. Do you want to Run or Save this file.  Select Save the file and negotiate and save to your computer desktop.
3. Download should complete in 10 seconds and then close the program.

To Install the MWS FTP Program follow these instructions.

1. Find the MWSFTP.exe file on your desktop and double-click the file icon.
2. Open file by selecting RUN.
3. Welcome to the WinSCP (provide by Midwest Sports) setup wizard.  Select NEXT.
4. Select your program install destination folder.  Accept the default destination and click NEXT.
5. Select Start Menu Folder.  Accept the default destination and click NEXT.
6. Ready to install.  Click INSTALL.
7. Program should install in less than 10 seconds.
8. Do you want to restart computer.  Select YES and then FINISH.

The MWS FTP Program is fully installed and functional and a shortcut icon is on your desktop.  To use the program just double-click on the icon and it will prompt you for a username and then a password.  For first time users you may get a warning screen WARNING-POTENTIAL SECURITY BREACH.  This is a standard screen for all first time users as we update your computer cache.  Select UPDATE and you will be prompted to the username screen.

If you will be using the MWS FTP Program to transfer files on a regular basis then we will assign a FTP Folder on our server for only you to access.  A TEMP Folder is also available for single use or infrequent FTP users.

To install the MWS FTP Program

1. You must first download the program to your desktop and follow the instructions on the left.
2. Once you have downloaded the program from our website, follow the instructions on the left to install to your computer.
